Your speed habit discriminates against me . . .

I have no idea how this happened, but somehow the Christian Family Coalition sent me an email saying I should protest gay marriage in San Francisco. I looked at the email and the very first paragraph said (caps mine):

Even in San Francisco, where homosexual extremists have taken over the political establishment and have used their "power" to DISCRIMINATE AGAINST CHRISTIANS, the message was loud and clear about marriage.

What? Ok, then it closes like this:

Pastor Kwong said it was a "wonderful assurance of the Lord that this is His will, and His plan for His people is to stand in San Francisco and be salt."

Does anyone get the salt reference? What is wrong with these people? I mean, if you don't believe in gay marriage, that's fine, you are entitled to your opinion, whatever. It just bugs me that they think it somehow affects their lives, and that they have the right to tell other people what to do. And to say that gay people getting married discriminates against you? That's just insane! How could you even write something like that without bursting out laughing at your own hilarity?
