Good Evening fellow citizens!
I am addressing you today with a mixture of joy and grief in my soul. As the day of reckoning approaches, I can only hope that all will have the strength and courage that I have come to expect from each and every one of you. The journey has been long and difficult, and we can expect still more challenges in the months ahead, but with a steady hand and a macaroni heart, I believe that we can achieve our goals.
My life lately has been proving painfully uninteresting, at least to the outside observer. I'm sure my inner turmoil might be quite fascinating, given the right spin that is. Rara was her for one night, and my sister was here for two. I'm now officially a double major with general biology and french literature. I gave my two weeks notice to the bookstore on saturday, because goddamnit I'm tired and want a fucking weekend. My deluded visions of literary retail have been sufficiently discredited, so the job has served its purpose. Still, I sometimes think that if only there were fewer customers, the fluorescent light were a little less blinding, and the store wasn't quite so corporate . . . perhaps a library?
For the summer I'm planning to go to Davis although apparently there will be very few souls joining me. Now I envision numerous visits to various places during which Davis serves more as a base camp than an actual home. We'll see how it goes.
