Short update
I am trying to catch up on replying to everyone's entries. It's not that I'm not interested, or not reading, just that between work and Morgan visiting, I haven't been posting a lot.
- Made it to Shreveport (LA) and Texarkana (AR) on Saturday, and Turner Falls (OK) on Sunday. Turner Falls is a place that would make even me want to camp, so that's saying something. Only for a day or two, mind you, so it's not saying that much. ;)
- I am having really weird dreams lately. Aside from the recurring pregnancy dreams (always pregnant, never giving birth or with a baby), I also have gems like the other night: I and a friend were visiting an alternate universe, one with flying platapusses and man-sized rabbits. I managed to meet and fall in love with a man named Tobín (or Toibín, pronounced toe-BEAN), who just happened to look like Timon from Rome and who was a were-plush-squirrel. Not just a were-squirrel, no, that was too normal for me. This was like a were-furry. Still, at least it was a pleasant dream, so the weirdness wasn't oppressive or threatening.
Anyway, there was some weirdness going back and forth, I ended up back in my universe, and had to "call" to him to get back across. During this point he'd reached some ritual point in his life, and had had to choose his permanent form. I told him I didn't care, I just wanted to be with him, and he told me he'd chosen to remain human (mostly), and the dream just ended happily there.
It's amazing how much sense this stuff can make at the time, and then when you think about it....
