My mom, sister, and niece are on their way here. Nora's going to stay with Jimmy and the kids while Ma, Jenn and I go see Brokeback Mountain. I don't really care too much about seeing the movie - just at the moment I'm more in a King Kong mood - but MY FAMILY IS VISITING. Yay! I wanted to see them and spent the morning baking presents and gearing myself up for the 2 hour drive north. Now I don't have to do any driving! And I was hoping someone besides just us would get to see the house before the tree and everything came down. So I have a few hours of nothing but reasonably adult conversation and activities to look forward to, thus I am a happy girl.
I should be happy: I fell asleep at about a quarter to eight last night and slept almost straight through until 9 a.m. this morning. Then I got up and wrangled the kids while Jimmy, who didn't come to bed until after 2 a.m., got some sleep. The last month or so just got compensated for, ya know?
