Music, Twitter and Farscape

Okay so brief morning entry to let you guys know that I've given in and made myself a twitter account... not sure if I'll get into the habbit of using it, anyway, I'm roxaned.

Also, I've just come across this amazing artist Ani DiFranco. She's not particularly new since her first album came out in 1990 but you know me, I'm awefully slow... Anyway, I love her engaged and witty texts which cover a wide variety of issues from sexism to racism to homophobia and her half way between Bjork and Alanis Morissette style. And she's got her own music label, Righteous Babe Records.

I started watching the second season of Farscape. I'd been looking forward to watching this series for years and I'm glad I finally got my hands on it. I greatly enjoyed season 1. My only complaint would be the constant introduction of some sort of sexual tension between Crichton and all of the females onboard (Zhaan, Chiara, Aeryn) at one point or another. That's the one thing that bugs me about Crichton, otherwise I like that he's not being stupid like a lot of tv characters, he really tries to solve things in an intelligent and pacific way. I don't think that I'm reading too much into it when I see D'Argo as being coded as black what with his dreadlocks and his past with his wife and child.

Anyway, season 2 is a blast so far though I'm only up to episode 4 Crackers don't matter (hilarious episode by the way).

If the DVDs weren't so damn expensive, I'd buy them myself!

Also I've watched the first season of Red Dwarf which only comprises six episodes. Lots of fun if you enjoy British humor though I'm really having a hard time understanding Craig Charles's Liverpool accent.

Last but not least, I've found a place to stay at in Vauvert where I'm doing my internship and believe me, finding a place to stay at a decent price during the summer in the south of France is quite achievement!

Have a nice one!
