I just have to say this . . . I really appreciate that Livejournal offers the basic (free) account with no ads. Most sites give you ads with a free account and then make you pay to remove them, but it makes much more sense to offer the basic account ad-free with the option to add more features either by paying or choosing ads. Much more sense.

Well, I'm feeling more familiar with Live Journal after some nosing around. It takes a little time, but I'm getting the hang of it. I joined a few interest groups and tried some fancy layouts. So I'm a sucker-I finally got talked into joining Live Journal. But I'm going to look at this as a good thing. Yeah, my family sees it as a "waste," but to me, writing is essential.
