Who turned out the lights?
Apparently DTE (power company) pulled the plug on an entire mile stretch near my work. An email went out about 1:20 saying that by 1:30 everything would be off. No lights, elevators, heat, etc. I'm working from home today and my VPN goes through Minneapolis (not Detroit), but my mail server is in Detroit. I can work without email, but apparently my development tools are looking for a server in Detroit (even though I'm supposed to be using a "detached" project). It has been lagging a lot and about 15 minutes ago completely locked up. I've restarted it 2 times. If this next one doesn't work, I'll log off for the day. I might transfer the files to my home computer. I can do a lot of stuff there. We'll see.
