What Is Within You
"Jesus said, "If you bring forth what is within you, what you have will save you. If you do not have that within you, what you do not have within you [will] kill you."

Reverend Erica Trantham did a whole service based on this verse and the movie, The Whale Rider. Meyer interprets this to mean an imperative to spiritual growth, the gnostic concept of salvation. We must develop ourselves spiritually to see what is within, and bring it out into expression to live. Otherwise, what we do not develop will kill us. Rev. Erica used it to relate to divine calling. This is her life key verse. We must pull out our calling and express it, lest it may come back to destroy us. She used the story of Jonah and the great fish as an example of someone who thwarted the divine calling. She interpreted the elements of the story in a metaphysical way. Sleep is denial. She related that she received the calling to be a minister at an early age, but thwarted that. At the age of 40 she finally accepted that calling and went to Unity Village for training. The expectations of our group, family, friends and peers can persuade us to suppress our calling. The heroine of The Whale Rider overcame the limiting traditions of her Maori tribe to become a tribal leader in her group. I need to see this movie. My spiritual task is to get myself aligned to my deeper purpose to become a teacher. I've grown a lot spiritually and I know what i must do to establish a practice to grow. I was encouraged by a member of the garden team who is an astrologer and saw my ability to speak and teach as coming from my chart. My mercury (communication)and venus (romantic attraction) are in gemini. My rising (interface) is in Sagittarius.
Tomorrow, I go back to class. I wil have an hour of introductory psychology four days a week. This class just keeps my in the program at school. I need to talk to my advisor and see about finishing my teacher certification.
