I have in my hands a 1st edition hardcover of The Swordswoman by Jessica Amanda Salmonson (Tor Books, 1982). Apparently this was a book club edition, but it's also not marked as such and Tor produced it themselves as the only hardcover, so it's still a first edition. Go figure.
The book itself is in Fine condition, tight spine, clear unmarked & crisp pages, sharp edges. The dust jacket has minor wear to the top edge and top of the spine edge, probably from shelving.

Six months earlier, Val had taken pretty Erin Wyler to the hospital in his ambulance. During a martial-arts competition, she'd suddenly become transformed, shouting that Mason, her opponent, was her age-old enemy and would kill her ... so she had killed him, before a crowd of spectators. Although confined to a mental institution, she has filled Val's thoughts ever since, especially after Mason's diary reveals a fantasy involving a sword-wielding female foe who is the image of Erin. Now, thanks to the mysterious sandy-eyed man and his amulet, Erin can travel to this world, called Endsworld. She is reluctant at first; since the alien planet has also been the setting for her lifelong fantasies, she knows its injustices and squalor. Yet her destiny can never be fulfilled if she remains on Earth.
