Oh, I went to Ravinia on Friday to see Willie Nelson, and it was pretty awesome. I had no idea that he was such a gifted guitar player.

I just watched the series finale of The Wire. No spoilers except to say that show will break your heart.

Nothing else to see here. Life is fairly stressful but it's almost the weekend, so things can't be that bad.

Man, I can't wait to be retired.

I'm taking today and tomorrow off work, so I can fully prepare to hear Spiderland performed live in its entirety.

I finally caught up with the season series finale of Girl Detective tonight. Sigh. I know it was incredibly low-rated, but I'm so sad that it's going out with so little resolution and closure while something called Farmer Wants a Wife will be on the CW-and Veronica Mars will not.

I spent my weekend watching basketball, catching up with a very special visitor from Arkansas (hi Noel!), or watching basketball with said special visitor and others. We didn't want Noel to feel too out of place, so we took him to Wing Hoe, where we got enough food to feed an army, plus booze, for less than $20 a person ( Read more... )
