the other day i was bitching to my professor that i didn't want to read the book he handed me because it was in spanish. he poked me hard and told me that any portuguese-speaking person automatically knows how to read spanish. and its, uh, kind of true, but still. so different from anglo-saxonic languages and, reiterating, you rule. :D

heh, it's only because i sat with a french book and a spanish book and read them simultaneously (and i've had 7 years of french, so i'm reasonably fluent at least in reading it, although i can't speak it for shit any more :( ). i am a dork. it is one of my more prominent characteristics ;)
