Long Weekend at Ashleigh's Cabin
Ashleigh phoned me and asked if I would like to spend the Long Weekend at her cabin on Lake Of The Woods, and so I did just that!
I had so much fun!!!!!
On the second day, Ashleigh & Emily (who also has a cabin nearby) took me tubing (my first time EVER on a tube), and I think that I nearly died about twelve times, but I had a hell of a lot of fun in the process! For someone who had never gone tubing before, I thought that I hung in there pretty well, considering that Ashleigh's father is a madman and decided to go through the biggest waves he could find. On the third day we went double-tubing for five hours, this time with Emily's father at the wheel --- OH, MAN!!! I LOVE TUBING!!! At one point, all three of us were falling off our tubes; I had lost hold of the handles completely, and was holding on just by the canvas ... which is when Ashleigh decided that she would grab onto my life-jacket in order to prevent herself from falling off ... and meanwhile Emily (who was riding beside us on a different tube --- the evil tube [grrrrrr]) swings around on her tube and begins to fall off as well ... and then she somehow ends up underneath our tube, but still haging on to hers ... and that's when we all went flying and screaming and so forth ... it was rather splendiferous ... WELL, IT IS A LOT MORE FUN WHEN YOU'RE THERE!!!!!!!
I also temporarily conquered my incredible fear of heights by jumping off the roof of Ashleigh's boathouse into the lake ... after about twenty minutes of Ash and Em trying to convince me that it was safe, mind you, so I'm not a big hero or anything ... (I really DO have a tremendous fear of heights). BUT I FEEL PRETTY GOOD ABOUT IT!
There were lots of other fun things that time will not allow me to mention, but I would just like to note that Ashleigh is damn fandangled! I've had a lot of fun with her; she's a pretty fantastic person! The whole endeavour ended up as a huge bonding session for the two fo us, really, which was rather nice. YAY, ASHLEIGH!!!! You are rocking like my stockings!
