The Clock Tower Showtime part II, a Back to the Future picspam
SPOILERS if you haven't seen the movie.
Firstly, I wanted to thank all the lovely people who commented on the first part *hugs everyone* I'm really glad you liked it. I couldn't not do a picspam about this movie and this scene <3
Then, for those who haven't seen the first part, here it is ^___^
10:01 PM
Saturday November, 12th 1955
Hill Valley, California
Marty reaches the white line on the street outside the Bluebird Motel and parks the car.
He connects the hook into the flux capacitor.
“Dammit, Doc, why did you have to tear up that letter?
If only I had more time...”
“... wait a minute, I got all the time I want!
I got a time machine! I'll just go back early and warn him. 10 minutes ought to do it.”
Marty changes the destination time from 1.35am to 1.24am.
“Time circuits on, flux capacitor... fluxing, engine running, All right!”
The engine suddenly stops.
“No, no, no, no, no, c'mon, c'mon!”
Meanwhile at the clocktower...
Doc almost gets the cable, when he slips. He breaks a bit off the ledge as well. The cable slips down and catches on his trousers.
“Whoa! Oh!”
The clock turns to 10:02.
At the same time, Marty is trying to turn the DeLorean's ignition on...
... while Doc finally succeeds in grabbing the cable.
Now, he struggles a little to snatch the other part off his trousers.
Doc manages to get the cable back in his hands, then tries to connect them.
Cut back to Marty.
“C'mon, c'mon, here we go, this time. Please, please, c'mon!”
Marty bumps the horn with his head.
The car starts working! Relieved, he drives off towards the Courthouse.
Cut to Doc.
He's still trying to connect the cables together. But he can't. The fallen branch is stopping him from doing so!
Cut to Marty and the DeLorean.
The scientist pulls the cable hard - and it unconnected from the cable attached to the lamppost. Doc screams.
Cut to Marty, with a close up of the time display panel. The clock turns to 10.03. Marty hits 75mph.
Doc looks up and sees the DeLorean headlights gradually appearing. Taking his decision, he attaches the rope to the clockface, taking care not to disturb the hands. The scientist finishes connecting everything and...
... then slides down the rope.
“Argh!”
Cut to Marty in the DeLorean. The DeLorean hits 88mph...
...and lets off blue flashes - it's about ready to travel through time.
Marty sees Doc running to connect the cables.
“Doc!”
He prepares himself for temporal displacement.
The clock hits 10:04!
Lightning strikes it, and the lightning causes electricity to go down the cables...
...which Doc reconnects just in time, getting himself a slight electric shock as he does so.
The lightning enters the flux capacitor.
The DeLorean leaves two trails of fire. Marty gets sent back to 1985.
Still in shock, Doc watches the deserted place. He looks at the clock now stuck forever at 10:04.
Grinning, Doc dances with delight because the experiment was successful.
*shouts gleefully*
And then he turns to the Courthouse...
So it was a fun experience to do this picspam. I don't know if I'll do another one though. Maybe *shrugged* We'll see in the future... :P
