After receiving what he could only assume was Veda's dream, Lyle found himself unable to keep from mulling the events of it over and over in his mind. How much truth was there to the visions he had seen, if any?
All this thinking culminated in Lyle arriving at Stuff Inc. trailed by a little round robotic companion. (Haro had started following when he stopped at the house to drop something off; Lyle let him tag along on the condition that he would stay quiet until he found who he was looking for.) He parked himself beside the entrance, leaning against the wall with arms crossed and one foot absently nudging the little bot. Lyle wasn't sure what he planned on doing, exactly, he just had a vague idea he would wait until such a time as Veda came out and feel him out about the dream.
The possibility that this dream had not been Veda's briefly crossed his mind. It could be someone who simply knew the both of them or even a dream created by Lyle's own subconscious, but he doubted it. If he was wrong, the worst that would happen was that Veda would think he was an idiot. Since Lyle was 99% sure Veda was already of that opinion, he officially had nothing to lose.
