Summary: Cephiro ponders the Blank Slate Wilderness and is hugged by some plants.
------
Cephiro perched on the edge of a branch, looking down on the City Without Walls below. It was a pretty awesome view, made even more awesome by the fact that he was dangling one foot over the edge. Don't ask why, but somehow views from high places were always improved by dangling one's foot above them - perhaps because it made it that much less safe. If he squinted, Cephiro thought he could just about see people milling around the Bazaar.
It was spectacular, but Cephiro only absently acknowledged it; he was considering the Wilderness. Unfortunately, in the case of the particular Wilderness he was considering, there actually wasn't much to consider - just blank whiteness lasting only a day and occurring at random. Or, seemingly at random. He had believed it to be an isolated occurrence at the end of February, but it had shown up at least once a week since then - although, not once every seven days. The intervening time between instances of this Wilderness appeared to have no pattern to it, or it was a pattern more complex than could be established within one month - there was nothing to indicate that it wouldn't continue into April, after all.
Did anyone else think anything of it? He hadn't been paying very much attention to the journals these last couple of months, but he hadn't heard anything in person. You would think the Adventurers would be all over it, but none of them had really said anything, either. Then again, there wasn't much to say - and if there were, no one would say it where it could be overheard. Still, he wondered if he should ask the journals? But the thought made him a bit nervous.
Lost in thought, for the moment, he wasn't even quite aware of a thin, green vine wrapping itself gently and lovingly around one of his wrists.
