[OOC: Uhh, I think that's how it's done? I dunno--my sister didn't say anything about it, right? So I guess it's all good...]
Finally having opened the doors of the elevator seemed to alleviate tension, but as soon as he put one foot out, his surroundings changed; Star and Kanaye were nowhere to be found. Despite how crowded everything seemed, it all was like a projection--every time he thought that he'd bump into someone or something, he simply found himself walking right through.
"Star!?!? Kanaye!?!?"
Even though he called out, they simply were nowhere to be found. Instead he saw that small white-haired boy who looked like a younger version of Kanaye; intrigued, he continued to watch him. A part of him felt somewhat concerned and sad, like it resonated with something inside of him, but he didn't know what. And then there was that nice woman with green hair--was she who Kanaye was looking for? She helped the boy... that was right, Kanaye was saying that he could hear people's thoughts!
What if she's... his mother? It was a thought

Stepping out amongst the people in front of the elevator Star began to feel panic surge through his veins. Cold hard poison taking away whatever saved up mental strength she could muster

Kanaye had experienced many emotions. When he'd seen the green haired woman he'd tried to reach out for her but a younger him had already beat him there. Completely confused with what he was seeing, he listened to the woman and watched himself with her.
She was so kind to him, she was lovely. She truly was as beautiful and perfect as she'd been depicted in his dream. He pulled a hopeful face, he didn't want her to leave, he didn't even know her name but she was so important.
"Who are you?" He asked her.
He reached out to try and touch her shoulder as she was having her portrait painted, only to find that she fuzzed as he touched her. She wasn't really there. Kanaye's expression changed completely to a pained face, trying to comprehend what was happening.
Why was this happening? What was this? A memory? He watched the woman laying down, cuddling the smaller him. He sat near to her and watched her.
