It had started off as an ordinary enough day - as ordinary as any day could be in a place like this, anyway. She only forgot about the glasses for a few seconds, before remembering and fumbling them on. It was still a touch disconcerting to look in the mirror and see another face, but - not the end of the world, really.
Breakfast felt less filling than usual, somehow. She had the sense of wanting something that she didn't have, something she couldn't quite put her finger on. Cravings like that were usually easy enough to ignore, but as she tidied up around her house, it still niggled at the back of her mind. She sighed slightly, and grabbed her shoulder bag. She didn't have work today - it wouldn't hurt to at least browse the food in the marketplace. Perhaps she would see whatever it was she wanted.
