Bastet looked up at the shout and straightened, stretching her arms over her head. "Yo," she grinned.

He looked pretty eager, which didn't surprise her given what she'd seen of him so far. Toushi had at least stayed up to fight those ants because he thought he was protecting people; this one just did it for fun. She just hoped he wouldn't get out of hand.

"I'm all warmed up," she told him, "so whenever you're ready."

Bastet snickered. Boys, seriously.

She didn't bother to say anything in response; she shot forward to slap aside his outstretched hand, and twisted to throw an elbow into his gut.

Not bad. Not bad at all.

Of course, Drake had absolutely no idea what to think when he went to meet Bastet. 'Female' and 'fighter' were literally the only things he knew about her. He'd headed over towards where she'd said she would be, only to be treated to one of the more interesting sights he'd seen in quite some time -- a short white tiger thing battling against...

...hocrap she had some serious boobs.

Drake's nose wrinkled up in reaction. The more he heard people blathering on about boobs the less he found he liked them. He couldn't imagine they were easy to fight with -- wouldn't they just bounce around and get in the way and be uncomfortable? Really inefficient shape, if you asked him. Which, of course, nobody did. Who would?

He stood off to the side, sword resting on his shoulder as he watched the spar in progress. Very interesting. She was fast, that was obvious. This had the potential to be fun, though he'd have to save a healthy chunk of his energy for Sight. That would be a very important match.

She left Trust, walking over towards the dark-haired boy. His expression was pretty disinterested but for the faint unease she could see. She didn't know what that was all about, but she supposed she'd find out soon enough if it was important.

"I'm Bastet," she said, crossing her arms over her chest as she stopped in front of him. "If you're here to spar...you're either Sight or Drake, right?"

Drake's expression was always disinterested. It was part of his charm. Or something of that nature. He shifted his weight to the opposite foot, making sure he looked as absolutely bland as possible. Wouldn't do to reveal that the boobs made him make faces and not the good kind.

"Drake," he replied, inclining his head slightly. "Sight has one eye, I've got two." Peculiarly cryptic comment, though it would doubtless be explained in due time. "As I said, I have no idea if I'm any good with hand-to-hand, but I suppose we'll find out."

He wasn't about to fight with his sword. He'd end up slicing her in half, and that wasn't the most pleasant way to meet.

Bastet raised an eyebrow as he introduced himself. Maybe he just didn't like people. Whatever, he was here for the same reason she was.

"One eye? I guess it'll make him easy to identify then." Her eyes flicked to the sword. Luckily he'd mentioned hand-to-hand specifically, or else she'd be worried about him getting overexcited the way Trust did...although overexcitement didn't seem to be one of this guy's problems.

"Well, you've gotten to see me in action," she said, pulling back a bit. "Why don't you start? Just let me know when you're ready."

Never one to disappoint, Sight finally arrived. Late. He noted that Drake had already stepped up to spar with a rather attractive lady fighter. For a moment, he considered watching the fight with both eyes before deciding against it. Even though he'd been using it more often, he knew that it still drained him quite a bit even in practice. If he was going to open that red eye, he was going to make every second of it count.

So instead he sauntered over to the side to lean on the rail and enjoy the show.

Once she and Drake finished, Bastet decided to go over and introduce herself to the new arrival. He seemed pretty--relaxed. Maybe the change in plans wouldn't faze him at all.

"So you're Sight. Nice to meet you in person." She looked up at his face, completely covered but for one eye. Odd, but not the strangest thing she'd seen since getting here. "I know we'd agreed to spar, but I hope you don't mind if I sit this next one out and just watch you guys. I think I'm done for the day."

"Bastet, eh?" His one eye looked her over. For all the bored lack of expression it had, he was actually rather impressed, and a slow smile spread across his masked face. "A pleasure to meet you. Seems I've arrived a little too late, so you've gotten two matches in." Then his gaze strayed over to the other two -a tiger-person he'd never met or seen before, and then Drake- as he continued, "I'm sure we could put on a good show for you."

In this short moment, he felt glad that he wasn't carrying any particular 'reading materials'. Like that Victoria's Secret catalog. At the same token, he felt like something was intrinsically missing in this picture, something that could've and would've been perfectly natural for him. But he quickly brushed off that inner awkwardness, deciding he shouldn't let something like that bother him much. Maybe he could ponder about it later.Sight rose with a light push off the rail before lifting his hand in a lazy wave at Drake. After a couple steps, he stood slightly hunched but exuded a calm and quiet ( ... )

Oh of COURSE he was looking Bastet over. Geez. Drake managed to not entirely roll his eyes; he should have anticipated that Sight would be ogling the only female in the general area. How utterly predictable, really. He could probably lay bets on the odds of that happening and come out ahead every single time ( ... )
