The elder, once more lonely and bored at his post in The Hall of Beginnings, frowned with Cancer?'s latest response on the journal. What was that nonsense about his dentures falling out?!? Repulsive. He grumbled something unimportant and incoherent while putting down the journal and looking around. Lately it seemed there were a few more new arrivals, and Fugue had only started to look forward to it more recently. Silence in the white room was only broken by the faint wriggling of cocoons; with that, the elder began to tap his foot like the ticking of a clock. Tap... Tap... Tap... Tap... An unbroken, steady rhythm.
Then there was the sound of crackling and crumbling, and the elder looked around in search of its source. Eyes glanced around here and there as he moved to pick up a set of clothing for the newcomer; once he found the source (which was a ways across the room), he slowly made his way toward it with a fairly staunch gait. Suddenly realizing he seemed stronger than he should be, he paused for a moment before noting that the newcomer wasn't even born yet and therefore wouldn't even know it. Nevertheless, he walked a little more carefully, slowly, like the elderly man that he should be.
