It's finally time to go to England and Scotland! I went to work this morn and then went to the airport. It was overwhelming seeing the people from the church there to support us. Aaron's momma bought us lunch (I had desert since I'd already ate) before we left though we were being rushed by those who didn't eat. We boarded the plane and thought everything was going well but suddenly we stopped on the run way...for a POT HOLE!!! Silly Eville airport. We sat there for 2 ENTIRE HOURS!!! When we got to O'Hare, we went and got a snack (again). Aaron got the ice cream and I got the coke and we were going to share. Suddenly, we heard a name over the loud speaker that sounded like Aaron's. Of course we were laughing about it cuz we didn't think it could possibly be him. Well it was. Apparantly, him, Dee, and Michael had been booked on an earlier flight. And since we'd got there so late, they were about to miss it. Dee and Aaron took off running while the rest of us searched for Michael. We found him in the bar watching the golf match...unfortunately he missed the flight. Luckily, a spot opened up on our flight (it was packed on there!) and he was able to get on or Keith (the other chaperone) would have been staying behind with Michael and we would've been flying without an adult (well me but personally I wouldn't want to be flying 8 hours without one of the chaperones...too nerveracking on how we'd all find each other and where to go in a foreign airport which none of us knew nething about).
I sat next to Matt on the trip. We chatted and played cards. Neither of us could sleep more than 30 minutes total. When we met up with Aaron and Dee we discovered their luggage was delayed. We waited at Heatrow for a couple hours, got it, and began walking...let me tell you...carrying luggage around for miles upon miles...it gets heavy. In fact, before we even got out of the first subway station, I twisted my ankle while we were going up the steps because I fell backwards from the weight of my luggage while climbing up some steps. It was swelling really bad (purple and blue) by the end of the night. We went to Paddington Station where of course, I bought a Paddington Bear.
Finally, we made it to the youth hostel. There was a life-sized Connect 4 there. It was awesome! Aaron Garret and I played monoly and Connect 4. I won :) The guy at the check in desk was really cute!!! Everyone in England is so friendly!
**When two or three are gathered in His name, He will also be there.**
