John's Father Day Letter
So since I posted Mandy's letter for all to read, I thought I'd post John's for you all too....
John~
Happy Father’s Day! I hope that you have a wonderful day and that your girls treat you extra special. You are such a wonderful man, not to mention father. You are an inspiration to me as to what I desire for my future. John, you are an amazing dad. I hope that my husband is as amazing of a husband and father as you are. You are so loving towards Eden and Amanda. God shines through you in everything you do.
John, I’m so proud of you as Eden’s father. I love watching you with her because I can see the love and joy you have for her in your eyes. As I write this, tears are streaming down my face because all that you hold for her in her heart is so pure. You are the daddy that I never could have given Eden and so much more. You’re a wonderful role model for her. She will always grow up knowing how loved she is.
John, of all the pictures I have, none mean more to me than the ones of you and Eden. My favorite pictures are the ones of you seeing your daughter for the first time. You have such awe and love in your eyes for her as you snuggle her to your chest. That is one photo that I’ll always treasure.
Thank you for all that you are to me. You have helped me to see that my past will not determine my future. You have always been there to give advice when I have needed it and that has meant so much to me. I had many days where I did not feel like I would ever find my “knight in shining armor” especially because of my past. You were always there to remind me that he was out there and that I was worth the best. John, thank you for helping me to believe in me. When I look at all that you are as a man, husband, and father, you remind me of all that I desire in my own husband.
John, you are a wonderful father. Eden is lucky to have you as her dad; she could not have a better one. You are a wonderful guy who is fun to be with and always supportive of others. Thank you for always being so welcoming towards me. When I first looked into open adoption, I never dreamed that I would find two friends in my daughter’s parents. I am constantly bragging to others about how wonderful you and Amanda are as parents and what great friends I have found. Not a day goes by that I don’t thank God for blessing Eden with a mother and father who love her with all their hearts. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your perfect family. John, I wish you the happiest of first Father’s Days.
