Summary: Today is Tetsu Kiri's birthday! Let's throw a party!
There was a type of buzz in the air that could not be denied. It was a thrill bent on suffocating the more enthusiastic people who were a part of this project - the calm, level-headed individuals... not so much. It was a type of high that was fed by carbonated beverages and copious amounts of sugar, and the Chairman was not one to pass up the festivities of such an event.
Because today, the eighteenth of September, was Eden Project's very own Tetsu Kiri's birthday.
Rumor had it that she wasn't too fond of parties (Well, not rumor, exactly. Yuuki had specifically told the Chairman that Kiri would practically despise any form of celebration.), but he hoped the gigantic birthday cake that he had - grudgingly - let Yuuki make would be apology enough. Even though he had been wanting to bake the cake for this special event, and was a little sore his lovely daughter had taken it out of his hands, he just couldn't pass up the chance for another party, and another social gathering.
He leaned back against one of the roman-style columns dotting the terrace just outside of the Moon Dormitory. They were still inside the gate, of course; it wouldn't do to have some random group of Day Class girls crashing the party. He glanced to his left, surveying the grouping of circular tables that had been set up over there, an array of plastic chairs huddled around them, then to his right, at the refreshments table which held most every type of food imaginable, all organized in a stylish buffet-type setting.
Blood pills, of course, were brought at a vampire's own discretion. They wouldn't be handing out those special blood-red drinks tonight, so it was up to them to bring their own means to satiate their thirst. Any slip-ups would not be tolerated.
Shaking his mind from these morbid thoughts, the Chairman shifted his bright-eyed gazed from the triple-layered chocolate cake (It was elaborately done, of course, with chocolate shavings and fancy spirals made from vanilla icing... Only the best for his precious students!), and let them flit from decoration to decoration.
It had been a simple matter of commissioning the prefects to undergo the task of decorating the Moon Dorm's terrace. They had done a wonderful job, and the Chairman couldn't help but sit back and admire their work. He had been too busy watching over the Night Class students to help them, of course.
Even though today (or, rather, this evening), was Kiri's birthday, it was still another chance to forc-- ah, ah, to encourage both Day and Night Class students in Eden Project to intermingle.
And so, Cross had made the event mandatory. This was also as a safeguard... to make sure Kiri attended her own party, as well.
There was nothing left to do but wait, now.
