Things done today:
1. Got my stitches out. \o/ My hand/wrist looks to be healing well. The skin around the incision is still kind of tight and... spiky feeling? No, prickly! That's the word I want. Anyway, I have a set of stretches to go through slowly and patiently, some extra-strength butterfly bandages to keep the scar protected for another couple days, and instructions on how to do scar massage once the bandages fall off.

2. Scheduled carpal tunnel surgery for my right wrist on Friday, March 26. Mom called this evening to hash out details, and the current plan is for Dad to drive up Thursday evening and spend two nights. He may even be allowed into the little cubicle part of Surgicare while they prep me and later wait for me to wake up after surgery, since apparently Cayuga Medical is slowly loosening some of their restrictions as more people are vaccinated. (Tangentially, I am pretty sure Dad will have had his second shot by that point.)
We will also install my air conditioner while he's here, even though it's quite likely we'll have snow at least once in April, because who knows when I will next have a second set of hands in my apartment? (I can install the AC by myself -- I worked out a method last year -- but given that I am preparing to have my second hand chopped up, it's probably best not to tempt fate. And I have some posterboard I can use to block the worst of the drafts, so whatever.

3. Rental office, wherein the most interesting part of the day was... uh... a prospective tenant application I can't talk about because it's too idiosyncratically weird for me to successfully vaguepost it, particularly when I found a bunch of the information involved by doing a cursory google search. *hands*
The second most interesting part was that when I headed out to buy lunch, I asked if anyone else wanted me to pick them up a sandwich and Lawyer Man said yes, so I had an interesting conversation at Jimmy John's where I shocked the workers by ordering something NEW AND DIFFERENT in addition to my customary BLT, and we collectively tried to figure out which Italian sub sandwich best fit his somewhat loose set of criteria.

4. Board of Trustees meeting, which we knew was going to run overtime. In point of fact, it ran so overtime (or rather, was clearly going to) that we passed a motion to adjourn and continue the remaining agenda items in a supplemental meeting, date and time TBD. *headdesk*
I should write up a "sense of the meeting" summary, but I am bushed and don't want to.
...
Ugh, but the newsletter deadline is tomorrow.
...
Fine. But then I am falling DIRECTLY into bed.
