daily update, Saturday through Monday
Things done lately:
1. Finished reading Crooked Kingdom Friday night. Promptly checked out or put library holds on the Grishaverse trilogy and King of Scars.
2. Rental office 10am-6pm on Saturday. This would have been a very slow day, except Spectrum had a massive internet outage over New York and New England from about noon to 5pm. AT&T's phone network was also down, T-Mobile was mostly down, and Verizon was running slow. Miss California and I started keeping a tally of tenants who came in to ask about their wifi/their phones, and she then calculated that we got one inquiry every 6.5 minutes during the outage.
3. Wrote two 3-sentence ficathon fills on Saturday.
4. On Sunday, I slept in until 11:30am, and went to bed at about 8:00pm, and in between did basically nothing. It was WONDERFUL.
5. Rental office 9am-7pm on Monday. A slow-ish day, livened up only by getting all the UPS and Fedex packages we didn't receive on Friday.
6. Wrote two 3-sentence ficathon fills on Monday.
7. Birthday dinner at Antlers, a local restaurant in Varna. Mom had the seafood and mushrooms, Dad had the baby back ribs, and I had the roast duck with cherry glaze and marsala dressing.
8. Opened present from my parents and from Cat. Nick was waiting to hear what Mom and Dad got me so as not to duplicate anything, and in Susan's case, I am trying to remember the wished-for item that occurred to me just after I made my Christmas wish list and which has subsequently fled my mind entirely.
9. Breakfast at my local diner this morning with Mom and Dad. Then they drove me to work and headed home to NJ.
10. Not the IRS 11am to whenever I leave, which will probably be about 4pm. I had one client scheduled and confirmed, but they failed to show up so I've mostly been sitting here writing and websurfing.
11. Wrote two more 3-sentence ficathon fills.
And that's pretty much that, at least for now. :)
