"I can't believe I've actually got you to take a holiday."
Baralai makes an amused little noise and glances back at Gippal. He can hardly see him for the... well, he'll graciously call it a machina -- a machine -- but he really has no idea what it is, or what it's going to be when Gippal's done with it. "I can't really tell that you think this is a holiday, you're doing everything you always do."
"Except there's more sex," Gippal says, instantly, and grins at him. "More you in general, actually. Which is always good." He's working all the time, holding things in place and adjusting them and removing them and Baralai just watches him working, his quick hands and the look on his face, the constant good-natured grin that always, always makes him feel like there's always going to be room to fall deeper in love with Gippal. Which is a thought Baralai doesn't normally indulge, but this is a holiday.
"You bring me to the beach, and the best thing you can think of to do involves machines?" he asks, teasingly, and Gippal grins brighter.
"We can't do the things that I'd like to do on a beach. Getting sand in awkward places is a bitch, take it from someone who grew up in a desert."
Baralai just has to laugh.
