The news got to him fast, as news does. Gramps couldn't keep him in his throne then. Gramps couldn't keep him anywhere, then, and Rydia wasn't much good at helping, either, lost in her own thoughts, her own grief. He couldn't even pinpoint why he was so angry, really.
He and Kain had always argued.
He thought it was probably because he'd always respected Kain. Had, in the end, been as eager to get him down from Mount Ordeals as anyone else.
And he'd gone and got himself killed.
Edge wasn't surprised to find Cecil at Mount Ordeals before him, killing monsters, killing emotion.
