Summary: Some good advice, from him to himself.
It was obvious enough what had happened when they both stepped out of their TARDIS and faced each other. It was confusing for them, looking at each other, one the future, the other what would become the past. It was extremely disorientating, and they had even met themselves before, back in other regenerations.
"Doctor," Ten said, and he was laughing, "Nice to meet you. So that's what I looked like? Wow."
"That's what I'm going to look like?" Nine asked, and he acted disdainful, though really, he thought it might be an improvement.
"Yep. I'm only here for a minute. I wanted to give you some advice." It was easier for Ten. He'd met Ten while he was still Nine, in that odd way that Time Lords had of completely messing up time and causing the strangest time loops. And he'd given himself some really good advice, too, so he saw no reason not to pass it on.
"Tell Rose Tyler that you can travel in time. And save Captain Jack."
"What?"
"Nothing. You'll find out." Ten grinned, leaned forward, kissed Nine softly. "You'll be dancing a lot soon, you'd better remember how."
Nine didn't get it. But he was sure he would.
It was odd, watching Ten walk into what was his TARDIS, and yet, wasn't (yet?).
