Hello,
So I went to a gathering in Malmö on october the 8th. I had a good time over all and I'm happy to now be able to say I went to a gathering but I don't feel the need to repeat the experience unless there's someone there I really want to meet. Throughout the gathering I remained mostly in the background, by choise, coz well, most people were just way younger then me and we don't share a lot of interests. I had some good conversations with some Danish YT-ers who're also interested in film making but that's about it.
I did enjoy looking around Malmö. It's a nice clean city. The architecture is a bit cold though for my taste. Not as cozy as some Dutch cities with their canals and 16th century houses that are all crooked and covered in vines.
But of course I only saw a small part so I'm not judging Swedish architecture in general.
At the main gathering I was aproached by some drunk hobo who started to talk to me about how digital photography was inferior to analog photography. I actually entered the discussion at first, out of misplaced politeness, but then I walked off to join the group. He came after me and continued his rant and which point I lost my cool en told him to piss off or else. He did luckily.
Not nice to have that happen at a gathering and it really annoyed me.
In other news. On september 16th I posted a reply to a video by Myles Dyers (Blade376) which was very well recieved and opened a few doors for me. The video is entitled 'ed editz mindfield' and it shows me floating in a matrix like space whilst contemplating some of life's mysteries. It was picked up by one of my subscribers, liketelevisionsnow, who is into art in a big way and it lead to my video beeing seen by Matthew Rose who is quite a famous artist in america now living in Paris. He wanted to show it at an art exhibition in Seattle and I'm very honored about that. A few days after posting that video I got an email from YouTube with an invitation to become individual partner so I can make some money of my videos. That was also a nice milestone in my YouTube career because I hope to one day become a full partner so I can choose my own thumbnails. It's not about the money for me coz even with a few thousand subscribers one still doesn't make much money with the partner program but I like to have the extra options a partner page provides. Anyway, that's in the future but at least the first step is taken and it means YouTube has noticed my videos :)
Now I'm looking for inspiration. Autumn has arrived here and even though the weather is still really great, full on sunshine, the air is cold and nippy. I'm hoping for some foggy days so I can do some filming coz I really want to make some sort of a ghostly video. Also with Halloween approaching, but lately I've really been into ghost stories. I love the eerie atmosphere and... well I don't know... the gothic-ness and stuff. It's a feeling I have inside which is something I want to expres in a video. But how on earth to go about it? I had a few ideas and After Effects will be a great help but I have yet to think of a story line. This is really my weak point. I'm not good at story telling. But I'm sure something will come to me eventually.
So I'll leave it at this for now. Ugh my birthday is on the 20th of october. An other year older :/
Okay bye!!
