Almost a month since I last updated :-0! Nothing's really happened anyways, except that I'm now 22 years old!! I can feel my joints locking up, my skin wrinkling, my eye sight deteriorating, the "when I was your age"s coming on, and my hair gray-ing (ok, that actually did start happening about 5 years ago). The birthday was alottsa fun, except for Jenny getting her first dose of serious mono-related pains that night. Other than that it was a great day. It started off JUST after midnight when I was at Jenny's house and she gave me the remainder of my presents which were REALLY nice. Two of the sweetest were a Yankees throw blanket of the Stadium which is awesome cause they're gonna be playing in a new field in a few years so I now have a collector's item, and the other thing is a throw pillow with a picture of her and I (which just so happens to be our favorite picture of the 2 of us together). She made me a Yankees hat cake with M&M's and it was REALLY good (but my mom threw it out a couple weeks after my birthday even tho I was still eating it!). That day after I went home and we woke up kind of early we went to visit my Babcie for a bit. It was nice to see her, she gets older every time I see her (I know, no crap, but she LOOKS much older every time I see her). From there we took the 20 min drive (which ended up being about 30 cause I went in the wrong direction) to Mount Greylock, the tallest mountain in Mass. It was really pretty up there. Jenny is solely responsible for and the first to witness my ascent of the observation tower up there. My knees were seriously shaking and I was having trouble breathing. It really wasn't that high up but it coupled with the 3100+ feet of mountain it stands on aren't that great of a combo for a guy with a fear of heights. Not funny. Stop laughing. From there we walked around the Lee outlets for a bit but not for long cause we were both hungry. We went out to eat to the Olive Garden which was my birthday dinner AND Jenny's congrats dinner for passing her CNA test AND a happy 1 month deal. We went back to my house and had cake with my family and I got gifts from them: some shirts (a pink one, and I actually like it!), money, a buncha Yankees stuff, all in all good stuff.
After that is really kind of a blur. I remember one Saturday night Jenny, Matt, and I went out bowling. Matt and I messed up our thumbs kind of bad, and there was this disgusting fat couple grinding and dancing and doing other unnessary things (for a fat person) to be doing. That part sucked. Dave and Ray stopped by real quick to say hi and see if I was going paintballing with them the next day. I had to work, so nope. I remember now... it was the 18th we went bowling, the day after my birthday, and they wanted to go painballing on the 19th, Father's Day, and I offered to work that day since everyone else had dad-picnics to go to (I'll see my dad at the end of the month, but we'll talk about that in a minute. Ok?). After that night of bowling Jenny's condition took a turn for the worse and she was out for the rest of the month of June and a good week of this month. :|. It sucked seeing her like that. She wasn't happy, she wasn't eating, she just slept and when she wasn't sleeping she was on the verge of tears. I have to admit tho, I did like taking care of her and being there to keep her company, and being one of the few things that entertained her and did make her laugh every now and then. It's nice to have her back in the world of the living though. Welcome back, honey! :)
Today is 2 months for she and I. As I'm writing this she's at work. Yeah. At work. I had to work 8-4 today and she had to work 5-11 so I'm picking her up from work and we're gonna have a sleepover and spend at least some time together. We're gonna play Scrabble and eat candy because she and I went to Icky, Sticky, and Goo last night and spent a combined $40ish!! That's SO much candy! Then tomorrow morning we're gonna get up a little early (early for us) and I'm gonna make a breakfast of pancakes, bacon, sausage, english muffins, and whatever else then we're gonna head out and see Dark Water. That may sound boring to some folks, especially cooking breakfast, but it sure is fun when it's with and for the one you truly love (truly without an "e" Jenny!). While she's been at work I've been real productive. As soon as I got out I shot over to NoHo and got some strawberry cheesecake from La Fiorentina for us tonight, and in the process of being gone all of 5 minutes TOPS I got a parking ticket because I didn't get one of those gay-ass meter tickets figuring there'd be no way I'd be gone long enough for it to matter. Stupid Ed... Stup-Ed. Anyways, from there I came home and let Molly out and played Frisbee and catch with the baseball, fed her, cleaned the kitchen, cleaned my room, did some laundry, went back out to get Jenny a card, came back and cleaned out my car, and now I'm actually updating this LJ! I'm in a productive mood!
July 29th-31st Jenny and I are going to Maine to visit my dad (told you I'd get to it). It'll be the first time they've met, and I'm really amped for her to and also to see his AAAAAAAAMAZING house/property. I kid you not, the guy lives on the ocean and has a guest house on his property. Now, it's no mansion by any means and it's very unassuming from the outside, but it just seems so big inside and when you're watching T.V. in the living room you can't help but keep looking out at the ocean since it's right there! He's got a 28 foot boat that we may go out on if Jenny feels up to it, what with her motion sickness and all. I was also thinking while we were up in the area we'd catch a Portland SeaDogs game, even though they are affiliated with the BoSox it's still baseball. We have alot that we want to do in the 3 days we're there. One day we'll probably spend in the Portland area looking around at all the shops, another in the Wells Beach area since there are probably 20 or so beaches within 15 mins of each other there, and the last day we're going to go to Hampton Beach on our way back down the coast. Portland's a good 40 mins South of where my Dad lives, and the Wells Beach area is probably an hour to an hour and a half away so it's alot of driving but it'll be fun.
I still wanna go to a Yanks game this year and it's looking like my only chance to go now is in August some time so I may get my lazy butt in gear soon and start looking for tickets. Other than that not much else to report. I'm sure I'm forgetting alot of stuff but that's ok. It's not that I've forgotten them, it's just that when you try to recall a month's worth of events things get pushed to the forefront and others get lost in the sea of memories. Enough waxing on poetically, I'm gonna lay down for a bit. Maybe I'll update more frequently but if it's a choice between not being home because I'm out being busy and having fun or cutting some fun time short to update I'd rather choose the former.
