Long time gone
Long time, no post.
Since I don't use twitter and probably won't start, I will make my little punctuated updates here.
Last night: got carded buying celebratory bottle of wine. The girl who carded me got all bug-eyed and said, "Wow! You look young...REALLY young." I was like, "But wait....I'm not that old!" 32's not old, right?
Last night: Celebrated because my last damn speech for my public speaking class is behind me (I am totally getting an A). I spoke to the evils of computerized voting machines, which are secretive, proprietary, and easily compromised. The corporations who make them are retarded and evil and it should be mandated that they open up their systems. Watch the documentary, "Hacking Democracy" if you want more info on why I say that. You can also read this analysis, but the movie is more fun.
Last week: Changed destination of wedding. Was originally going to be Port Tobacco, MD. Is now going to be somewhere in the Caribbean. Stay tuned for updates, but top contenders are St. Lucia, Belize, Costa Rica, or Antigua. We are also looking at Cancun and a few other spots in Mexico. This change makes me go from feeling stressed, overwhelmed, and feeling like the wedding day will be something I just need to struggle through, to feeling excited and optimistic.
This week: Got my ticket to go see Meat Beat Manifesto this Sunday. Am totally stoked because I have been a fan for years, yet have never been to a live show. Who else is going?
