Relief
Since I had been without a stylist for a few months, my hair had gotten pretty scraggly and I decided it was time to bite the bullet and find someone new. I got a lot of suggestions from people on where to go, but I finally decided on HairPort in Sterlilng, mostly because they have vegan options for color and styling.
When I sat down and told the girl I was growing my hair out for locks of love, she looked at me like I was nuts, and told me there was no way they'd take my hair. It had too much color on it and it was way too damaged. I was surprised because my old stylist didn't seem to think there would be a problem donating my hair even though it was colored.
So since it became clear to me that my hair was pretty much useless at this point, I wanted it gone. We cut off 9 inches, and I couldn't be happier. I LOVE SHORT HAIR! I feel like I am back to my old self again. The color is good too, we did red on top and an almost black color in the back. I kept the little blonde streak in my fringe.
And here's a before picture for contrast. See? SCRAGGLY! I think it looks so much better now!
