It is all good

1. I can pretty much eat anything now. The post surgery check-up pretty much confirmed I can go back to using straws and eating bacon/popcorn and all the good foods.

2. I've gone to a few model homes and open houses. We've also looked at a few places across the GTA and prices are so expensive. Why do I feel I will never be able to afford a house when they are asking $1M for a 1,934 sq foot bungalow in Vaughan? Or when they are asking $600k for a 1,400 sq foot townhouse in North Richmond Hill?

We've also driven around some other neighborhoods in mid-town Toronto that would be cheaper, but given the problems in the major city centers, we've crossed them off the list. (i.e: age of homes, termite infestations in known neighborhoods, drugs trafficking in the next neighborhood over etc.)

3. I'm heading out to Tofino for surfing and the natural hot springs while we stay at First Nation runned lodge/B&B near the beach, Kelowna for wine country tours and Victoria to see the famous gardens. I can't wait for August as my friend and I take a car and drive about the province. We also plan to sea kayak and perhaps, take a lot of breaks during our drive as Canada only has 3 rain forests.....the most well known ones are on Vancouver Island with trees older and larger than you can imagine.

4. Camping again in three weeks with a few people to Arrowhead Provincial Park. We plan to take canoes out. Unfortunately, I would have to leave early on Sunday because Niagara Falls manager training at the firm. Who thought starting training on a Sunday was a 'great idea'?!?
