... So, the Mazda is officially totaled, and the insurance company made an offer that was more than I expected. Unfortunately, that was 2 weeks ago, and the car is still in Ashley's name. Ashley took the title with her last year (for a car she had no interest in, and hadn't even driven in over 5 months by that point), a while after she moved out; she even threatened soon after to take the car away, which never made any sense to me. After the accident last month, I mentioned that I would probably need the title, since there was a good chance it would be considered totaled. She said she knew where it was. After the settlement was offered, I asked for the title. Ashley told me she was unable to find it. I gave her the form last week for a replacement title. As of today, she hasn't done anything with it...
... But, as Ashley recently mentioned in an e-mail, I'm the asshole here...
... I currently have no cell service. Current job doesn't pay as much as I'd like, and since the custody agreement states I pay for Theo's aftercare and meal plan, that comes first. Unfortunately, this is unacceptable to Ashley. The next best thing I could do was give her Marva's number, but her cell spends a lot of time sitting in the bedroom, charging. Timing has been that more often than not, calls are missed, including Ashley's. Again, unacceptable. Tonight, argument ensued, to the point that Ashley said I couldn't take Theo with me because I didn't have a phone...
... What... the... fuck?!?
... What's the point of having a custody agreement if she won't honor it?
... Of course, I'm still the asshole here...
... I foresee a long e-mail to my attorney tomorrow. For tonight, I'll just try to enjoy the ice pack and pain killers...
