Summary: Shadow hasn't bothered coming home for a while and made his bat bff worry.

Ever since their sparring match, she couldn’t help but notice that Shadow had been acting strange. She had hardly seen him, he didn’t seem inclined to return to sleep in his bed or spend any time in the apartment the last couple days. Unless something had happened between him and another resident, the only thing she could pinpoint as the cause was his time here. Sure, their sparring match hadn’t gone spectacularly, but it was hardly a good reason to make himself even more distant that usual and she couldn’t imagine anyone here having this kind of negative effect on him. He had been here longer than her, but had the time spent wasting away in this horrid place really gotten to him this badly?
Whatever the cause, she was worried, which was normally an emotion she hated and avoided at all costs unless it dealt directly with her wellbeing. This was Shadow, though, an ally and most importantly, her friend. She was willing to make an exception for him.
Determining her location to be the rooftop of their apartment building, as that was where he was always to be found, she donned her coat and before stepping out her bedroom door, grabbed another trinket from a drawer in her desk. It had been a while since she bothered with the toy despite having it for months, but maybe it would help in some fashion. The figure was slipped into her pocket and she quickly made her way to the roof.
Emerging from the door, it was easy to spot the familiar hedgehog with a glance and the click of her heels signaled her approach. Remaining silent for now, she sat down near him, being sure to give him some space. Mild concern was all she allowed to show on her face as she watched him, waiting a moment to see if he would chose to speak first.
