Characters: OU!Lelouch Lamperouge, AU!Elena, AU!Sephiroth, Open
Where: A dark alley outside of Apt 1
When: Following this thread
Summary: Lelouch is hopelessly (dangerously) confused about his locale...and C.C. has just vanished into thin air. Unfortunately, this only re-affirms his woefully-wrong assumptions about whom his captors are and what must be done to escape them.

Lelouch let out a horrified gasp and lost his balance slightly as his hand fell straight through C.C.'s shoulder. He turned around and grappled confusedly at the rapidly disintegrating image of C.C. as her body dissolved into a flurry of light particles streaming for the sky. All that was left of the girl were the two soft indentations in the snow where her feet had been. His hands trembled in shock as he stood there in her place, back turned to Elena and Sephiroth.

She had seemed so much like the real C.C.. though she had said some things that didn't quite make sense. He knew that his father was capable of creating illusions but he hadn't any idea that he was capable of making them appear so life-like. In the past, he'd only demonstrated the ability to produce non-organic illusions, but the C.C. he'd just seen...she walked, she breathed, she spoke.

What if-! Were all of these people illusions? Perhaps these beings he was dealing with were not Britannians at all. But...he'd been able to use his geass on one of them. Geass should only be able to work on sentient beings, not simulations..

No. If Charles could implant C.C.'s apparition with enough information to make her existence believable, he could easily have programmed other simulations with the information necessary to emulate the effects geass would have on them.

His eyes narrowed and his fists clenched as he realized the degree of insult this insinuated for him; not only had Charles mockingly trapped him in this ridiculous artificial realm, but all of the people that were in this place to prevent his escape were simulated as well -he couldn't even afford him the respect to surround him with real people..

What was more...even if they were created to mimic geass effects, Charles would have undoubtedly  implemented them with a stop function which would dis-allow them to carry out any commands that would be detrimental to the system and allow his escape. Suddenly it was beginning to look as though Lelouch really was trapped in check after all..

Still...using geass on them was the only chance he had at ever getting back to Nunnally. He had to try.

Continuing with his original plan, he turned his head slightly back towards the two strangers, continuing to play their game. "..what just happened?" he demanded with a true frustration, letting enough of his genuine emotions through to be convincing, but keeping a shroud of deceit over his true thoughts.
