Characters: OU Sawyer, OPEN to people who want to kiss him. Where: The library When: During the mistletoe plot Summary: Guys, he's stuck. You know the drill. Warnings: Kissing? Snark? Sawyer?
((I'm supposed to be on hiatus but, well, I couldn't resist. Just one thread won't hurt...))Dean's first week in this place had passed quickly enough. He didn't know if it was because if was cold and dark all the freakin' day here, or not having a job to focus on, or missing Bobby, or seeing Sam and knowing that they were going to have to go through all that sharing and caring about his time in Hell all over again - he didn't know if it was all of them combined, but he'd been a bit low. He'd been hitting the bottle hard, and he didn't look so good
( ... )
((HAHAHA OMG YOU ARE SORT OF AMAZING! I am majorly amused and also thrilled to have created such a special, magical hiatus breaking thread.))
Sawyer had been about to pull out his book and start reading - hey, had to do something to pass the time until he got free, right? - when the new kid came stumbling up. Dean, that was it; and he looked like hell, too. Sawyer didn't really keep tabs on the goings on of everyone he met here but it looked like this guy's week had sucked.
He hadn't quite figured out all of the whole mistletoe spell thing - namely that he should be yelling at the guy to stop right there, turn around and go bring him a girl to get him out of here instead of coming closer where he would get stuck himself - so he just pulled out his version of a sympathetic face which was really just a smirk and called, "Well hey there amigo."
Dean certainly hadn't been in any state to hear about the mistletoe threat, and it was hard to see in the dark when the ground kept pitching and spinning, so he kept on coming. There were circles under his eyes from not sleeping, but he was clean-shaven and doing his very best to at least resemble someone in control of himself.
"Fine day," Dean said - it was freezing and overcast - while slipping and catching his balance on the ice, "This the library?"
Sawyer knew a drunk when he saw one, but at least Dorothy here seemed to be making an effort to be coherent. And there was something amusing about watching him on the ice. Hell, at least Sawyer had a show to amuse him now instead of just being stuck here. He even helped catch him when he almost fell into him, although that was admittedly more to keep from being knocked over than because he felt like being nice.
"Oh yeah, I was just out here workin' on my tan. What brings you out here?" He shot back dryly. The question about the library got another smirk. "Naw, just a big old building full of books."
