"...Brainy?" Tinya redirected herself towards the younger Legionnaire mid-step. For walking over to Lyle's new room, the woman was shockingly ill-dressed for the weather. A thin sweater, a pale pale pink in color, with a white long sleeve shirt underneath it and a pair of jeans were all she was wearing. But there was a glow around her that signified the use of her flight ring. She had up her bio-shield, so while it was limited she still had protection from the cold
( ... )
Brainy gave her a small half smile when he spotted her walking up to her. He noticed her clothing choice, and with a flick of sensory unit, he detected the use of the ring's bio shield. He wore only his legion uniform, also using his shield to keep his surface temperature at a comfortable level.
"I was merely conducting observations." People watching, "And considering our options regarding the council that has been created. I will be submitting a query at the beginning of the week."
Tinya chuckled. It was nice knowing a Brainy who thought people were interesting and not just lesser then he was."A query? What about?" She folded her arms, voice taking on a questioning yet slightly serious tone. She'd been meaning to discuss with Brainy the outcome of their connections with the council. Now that there was only three of them, Garth gone and Querl seemingly unavailable, they had to keep information flowing. "What are our options?" She frowned thoughtfully. "Did you and Lyle discussed them?" She'd never talked to the Coluan about Lyle moving out.
"Regarding our position within the council. I've only been given one notification, and true, I should have been more proactive in gaining entry before this point but I have been otherwise preoccupied with more... tedious engagements." Brain said, nodding, understanding the problem of his own action. He had no other choice but to act now, or not at all.
"We can do nothing, prove our selves prone to self indulgence in wake of the so many who have already..." He started, showing a slight twinge of that typical Coluan elitism, "Or we join the council. I volunteer to be the legion representative. On the other hand, we need to consider a leadership role for us legionnaires here in Econtra."
And then there were those who were participating in neither, and were simply going about their business as though it were any other day. Rose was, perhaps unsurprising given her origins, one of those. She wandered through the plaza, head down as she fiddled with, of all things, a cell phone. It had been a habit of hers off and on the past several weeks, on the vague hope it might pick up something. So far, she'd had absolutely no luck. This was not at all unanticipated.
The odd-looking young man in the plaza's center caught her attention, and she pocketed the phone in favor of heading over, head cocked at a curious angle and a slight, amiable smile on her face. "Hey there," she called. "Looking for anything in particular?"
"Not really." Brainy replied, layman's terms, casual. He cast a glance over to her, his eyes scanning her up and down briefly, immediately affirming, from both her accents and base features, of her ethnic heritage. "I'm merely observing the other residents in their holiday ritual."
The distraction helped him think, and watching the others, their habits and subtleties helped him learn, to help him better serve the community.
"The Thanksgiving thing?" The blonde grinned, shaking her head as though in mild bemusement. "At least they've stopped arguing back and forth about whether or not it's okay for them to celebrate. Honestly, some people." She rocked back on her heels, eying him with undisguised curiosity. "I'm sure someone wouldn't mind you joining. I mean, if you wanted first-hand observation."
"I believe a teammate of mine will be hosting his own meal." He said, his expression barely shifting. He did however offer a polite nod to her statement as he straightened himself. "I should be attending."
He regards her with measurable amount of curiosity, really only wondering why she was so interested in him.
He might as well offer an introduction. "My name is Brainiac 5. You?" He said, offering his hand to shake. Gesture of good will.
