Maria had no idea what she was doing, honestly. Yeah, sure, she was checking up on Albel because he was upset, and friends looked after each other. But there was something else. Are you sure that's the only reason, hmmm? a treacherous voice that mirrored her own echoed inside her mind, and she had to shake her head for the thought to go away.
