[Thread] Anemia
Characters: Faye Valentine (OU), Syaoran (AU), Radical Ed (OU)
Where: The clinic.
When: 11/5, during the day, after this thread and this journal post.
Summary: Due to being mauled by a vampire, Faye is very anemic and needs help to get back to her room.
Warnings: The usual. Swearing.
Faye clutched weakly at her PDA and closed her eyes, weary from the effort required to push a few buttons and speak. She concentrated on being very still. Help would be here soon, and she'd need to be able to walk (sorta) in a few minutes.
Waking up had not been pleasant. Faye's head ached, and the wound on her neck throbbed with pain. She had been dizzy almost to the point of nauseousness, and completely disoriented. Panic had hit her when she remembered what had happened to her, and her agitation was not helped by being totally confused about where she was. By turning her head a little (with great effort) she was able to confirm that she was in the clinic, in one of the examination rooms. She had reached up (with a little more effort) and found that the wound on her neck had been neatly bound.
A mystery for another time. Through the grogginess and confusion Faye was still able to comprehend just how vulnerable she was, alone and unable to move from where she lay on the clinic bed. She needed to get back to her room, surrounded by people but safely out of sight. Problem one: Faye couldn't move without help. Problem two: Faye was even less willing than usual to trust anyone.
Struggling through waves of dizziness and fumbling with numb fingers, Faye managed to get her PDA out of her jacket pocket and up near her mouth. She sent a screened message to the only two people she felt she could trust not to take advantage of her weakness: Ed, a friend, flighty though she may be; and Syaoran, her roommate, who logic and gut feeling dictated was harmless.
Now all she had to do was wait.
