Who?:OU!Tenth Doctor, OPEN Where?: Church roof. When?: Roughly mid-afternoon, heading towards evening. Summary?: Ten is sitting on the top of the church. Warnings?: None.
Oddly, Espio came across the Doctor completely by accident. Lately, climbing damn near every single building in Econtra had become something of a hobby - something he did pretty much daily. To find the Doctor pacing up and down the roof of a church was something of a surprise.
"...hi."
From the look on his face, it would be easy to deduce he hadn't come up here looking for him.
"'Allo, Espio," murmured the Doctor, taking a seat on the spine of the roof, turning his attention towards the chameleon for a long moment. His own expression was largely unreadable, as the Doctor's tended to be nearly all of the time. He wrapped his brown coat around him, propping his weight back on his hands. "Doing all right?"
The Doctor didn't seem remotely phased by Espio's appearance, though inwardly, he wasn't quite sure if he should have been. Come to think of it, it'd been awhile since he'd last seen the lizard, and that last while had been when he wasn't quite stable. Not that he was stable now, either, but he was more in control of himself, if anything.
"Fairly, yeah," Espio answered, though he didn't sit down. Not yet, anyway. "You?" He didn't think it was a particularly good idea to bring up their last face-to-face meeting... at least not without testing the waters first, because throughout the whole ordeal it had taken every ounce of his being to resist hitting the Doctor over the head and screaming at him to stop being an idiot.
"Yeah, bit. ... Doing alright. Remember that girl I told you about? Rose? She's here... you probably already know, but it's... good that she's here. It's... very good, I ah, I missed her, you know, traveled with her for years seems like, although it really was only two..."
The Doctor tilted his head back, exposing his long, white neck to the dying embers of the sun. He didn't say anything after that, keeping silent.
Grimacing, the Doctor attempted an apologetic smile. "Blimey. I don't even want to imagine how confusing that must have been, yeah? She's alright though, Rose. Brilliant, really. Saved my life a few times, kept me out of trouble, once took the heart of the TARDIS into her, just to come back...-"
The Doctor smiled absently, and returned his attention to the setting sun starting to vanish behind the Obex wall.
"A friend." There was a strange emphasis on that word, as though Espio considered there to be a significant difference between its casual usage and its true meaning.
He briefly glanced in the same direction as the Doctor, but he didn't seem to really appreciate the sunset.
For now, he figured he'd sit down for a little, though he had every intention of taking off again soon. "I really didn't expect to find you up here, you know. Only person I've really run into when I'm so high up is Robin."

But he grinned anyway. "Long time."

He paused, remembering the exact circumstances under which he had met Rose, and sighed. Stupid Econtra.
"I looked like you."
