Zuko wasn't too fond of singing or of music in general. He wouldn't say that it was because he was bad at it, for he was pretty good at playing the sungi horn and could actually hold a tuned note--but these were all things more attributed to the fact that he was born a prince and music lessons were part of his tutelage before he was banished. And then there was the drunken singing habits of the soldiers aboard his uncle's ship, Iroh's own habits of bursting to song at what Zuko felt was the most innappropriate times, and a lingering feeling of jealousy towards those who could escape their problems by diving into a song about happier times. Something he could never bring himself to do. Not that he tired.
He unlocked the door as he said he would, sitting on the couch to wait for Mai.
