[Thread] Attack of the Annoying Tomatoes

Summary: Bushroot sees what he did...and what everyone else is doing to his tomatoes.

Bushroot yawned, stretched, and looked out the window. He'd went to bed in the early hours of the morning after Spike had broken a beaker of an experimental fertilizer. It hadn't been working all that well anyway. He couldn't even remember everything that had been in it. At least it had killed a little while.
It was a bright sunny day outside, which meant he'd be dining well that day. He stretched again, watching as a pack of tomatoes chased someone or other down the street. It looked as if they were having a good time, too. The tomatoes, of course. He didn't think the person, whoever they were, was enjoying it.
Then Bushroot did a double-take. Tomatoes...his fertilizer...could it be? Sure, this was Econtra, and the odds of it being something else were reasonably good, but...
He was going to have to grab some and test them and see what he could find out. And save as many as he could. To have intelligent plantlife to talk to again...a dream come true!
He raced out the door and looked for the nearest batch of tomatoes to try to have a chat with.
Unfortunately, even as he looked, it became obvious that the other inhabitats of Econtra were busy making tomato paste out of them.
