"Sir Kane."

Sheifa arrived at the park, smiling. She'd been bored herself and had decided to go out and check out the sights, even if it was in the middle of the day. And she was in luck; there was someone whose company she didn't mind, and who probably wouldn't mind hers, either.

He'd halted upon crossing the Park bridge, more to get his bearings than to catch his breath from the past hours of wandering. The same gust of wind that sent his cape billowing out around him as he leaned on his staff carried a familiar scent of perfume downwind. The wanderer turned, and the ghost of a smile touched his lips at seeing the flame haired lass from Cathay.

"Lady Sheifa.", he welcomed with a grave bow as she drew nearer. "It hath been weeks. I trust this city hath not gotten the better of ye just yet." His face was grave as always, but there was a hint of light-heartedness in those blue eyes.

"I was a ditzy blonde princess the other week, and then I turned 30 last week. But yeah, I'm okay." Sheifa walked beside him, smiling. She liked the man. He was kinda like a father figure to her. Sort of. "How have you been? You've been awfully quiet," she noted.

The right side of Kane's visage curled into a quasi-smile. He didn't exactly know what 'ditzy' meant, but it did sound unflattering. 'Blond princess' was spot on however. He'd only realized the week after the transformations that Sheifa WAS said princess. And had been in a playful mood when she'd summoned him, as the Scottish knight from the future, to come to her aid.

That same near-smile briefly focused on Sheifa. It was the only indication he gave that he was, in the vernacular, on to her. And he didn't mind.

"That I have." he finally admitted, matching his serious pace to her light step as the morning heat heightened the scents of the Park. "I myself know not why. Though...looking back, I'd say I was mourning a friend's loss."

Sheifa saw the smile and giggled. "Um, so I guess that knight was you, huh?" She blushed slightly. "Sorry. I was really bored then. I wanted company. But then my mother came and gave me a poisoned apple. Albel said I slept for nearly a week."

Her expression then turned sympathetic. "I'm sorry to hear that." She turned away a little. "It's always... hard... losing someone..."
