Characters: AU:Hidan & OU:Selim Where: The church When: Now Summary: "Oh hey, let's go hang in a church lol" Warnings: Hidan is a warning. Also two insane bad guys hanging in a church?
Selim entered the building quietly, smiling to himself. Religious fanatics always amused him, not to mention the squabbles of "My God is better than yours" that almost always broke out as a result of their stubborn viewpoints. Humans in total were a disaster of a species. They were easily panicked, primitive, paranoid, and always far too quick to anger. The absurdity that was occurring here had him almost laughing. What a bizarre god this man worshiped.
"That looks uncomfortable," he said quietly, still smiling that innocent smile. "Does Jashin really command this of his followers? It seems a little bit silly. To have his followers intact and quick to defend him is a god's first priority."
There was a sound of ripping flesh and cracking bones as Hidan pushed the pike even further and then his eyes snapped open at the voice. His first instinct was to just get up and kill it. Fuck he hadn't had a good kill is god knows how long. Too bad he had to suffer with it too. He removed the piece of metal and tossed it to the side of his body and stood up in his bloody glory and puddle of crimson under his feet.
"Hey!" He called out to the kid as violent hues looked at him. A sneer across his thin lips and a hand through his hair. "You think I like this? Gotta keep Jashin happy, you know?" The corner of his lip twitched upwards into a snarl of mockery. Once a great killer reduced to fucking babysitting. "The hell are you again?"
He smiled wider at the sight of Hidan's blood. So someone who willingly spilled their blood for whatever god they fancied actually existed... This really was a particularly impressionable example of a human.
"This human body's name is Selim Bradley. But you may call me Pride, in secret."
He willed his shadow to begin stretching out into the shadows, A tactic easily disguised in the darkness of the church. "Tell me...have you even seen a god before...? Even your beloved Jashin?"
What? This kid was trusting him with some secret name? Well wasn't that just so damn special? But whatever, Hidan just snorted arrogantly as he felt the flesh heal up his bare chest. Shit he wasn't even wearing that damn robe anymore and just hanged around his waist.
"Are you fucking retarded or something?" Hidan sneered in mockery, his lips twisted upwards into a vulgar smirk with gritted teeth as he faced the boy and slowly picked up the pike, letting the metal graze along the brick floor which erupted into a pain-staking sound that could make anyone's ears bleed.
"No one sees lord Jashin, shit. The bastard is probably laughing at dumbass humans. What do you want?" and still, he was still oblivious to the shadow. Hell, even if Jashin hit Hidan in the face he wouldn''t have noticed it, much less a shadow engulfing the church.
He made a slight face at the noise, but he didn't flinch. How dull...intimidation tactics never suited humans very well. Their bodies were so fragile, as this man had so easily demonstrated. And so very small.
"What a pity that your god hasn't seen you fit to meet you face to face," he said quietly, the shadows around them beginning to solidify, and stretch out with myriad tiny clawed hands. "You have so much potential."
Intimidation never suited humans, huh? Tough shit that Hidan wasn't a human, well not really but he wasn't a fucking stupid mortal who ate shit and bent over to lick anyone's ass. And this kid? What the hell was he bantering on about? No one should question lord Jashin and so Hidan twisted his lips into a disgusted frown.
"Look you dumb shit, if you don't have something worth saying then just piss off." Hidan replied with a quirk of his eyebrow. What the hell did the kid want? But either way, the environment felt colder now and Hidan sure as hell knew that it wasn't just the weather.
The eyes upon his shadowed form opened, all gazing upon Hidan with all their terrifying glory. Small ones, large ones, some showing fear, others hatred, sorrow, joy. He moved the clawed, shadowed hands in close to his potential puppet, wrapping around him tightly, but still gently. "You see, child? Never underestimate someone's appearance. I am older than you can ever fathom, and I have been watching everything for a very long time."
