Darkness falls on the city, punctuated with the sounds of sound waves given direction and deadly force. She turned off into a small alley and collapsed to the ground, her knees trembling. She had waited, hiding, in the church until the Entropi had passed by. She had snuck out into the streets, running down small back alley ways, and entering into every building the Entropi had moved on from. She was wary of every sound, footfall, or crumbling of the earth beneath her own feet.
She went into every building attempting to find her own friends, whom she had not heard from in quite some time. She had not found anyone. She had stumbled upon a few more people still passed out in their rooms... some passed away.
When night began to fall she had stumbled back into the streets, unsure of what to do. A dim glow covered the world around her. She was tired, aching. There was no mask to get her out of this world, no Valentine to aid her. She was alone as the world fell to pieces around her.
Suddenly one of the Entropi had appeared from behind a building, coming out of one of the alleys she had just come out of. She stared at it, fear and adrenaline welling up within her. A loud hum began to grow, Helena grabbed her ears and attempted to move but the sound held her there. Her body was shaking uncontrollably. She had nothing but her determination to save her.
Helena raised herself to her feet her skin beginning to pull and split into minor cuts as she moved. She was never really sure of what the Entropi were made of, she had never payed attention to any of that and so she was left with the only thing she could think to do. Helena had flung herself at the Entropi. When she hit the ground on the other side of the Entropi her body had stopped shaking and beside her stood The Princess, her eyes black, inhuman, a smug expression on her face.

The Princess walked forward, the Entropi slightly thrown as Helena was as to what just had happened. Helena was expecting the world to collapse on itself in reaction to the Paradox that was occurring in that moment. They were both there in the same place, neither of them dead.
The Princess stepped up to the Entropi, laughed violently and threw back her head as the shadow matter that the Princess was made of came spilling forth, clinging to the Entropi. The hum began again but the shadow matter was crawling up along the form of the Entropi and in but a moment it had completely covered the being. It had become a black mass of solid ash in the street. The Princess laughed softly to herself, stepped forward and lightly blew on the mass in front of her. Slowly a wind picked up with her breath and the mass flew off into an uncountable amount of ash particles into the air.
The Princess' form had begun to shake in that moment, blur. She was not in pain, just being pulled from the place she was in. "If you die, Stupid, the so do I. Can't have that can I?" The Princess had vanished just like that in front of Helena, leaving her baffled.
So here she was, the cut son her body a reminder that she had almost died. What surprised her more was that she had not really saved herself. The Princess had saved her. For selfish reasons, to be true, but nonetheless...
Helena pushed herself up back into a standing position against the wall behind her. She wiped away the tears that had fallen down her face. She reached into her jean pocket, pulled out her very battered but still working PDA. She pulled it up to her face, a small very tired smile forming as she spoke, the tears rolling down her face uncontrollably.
"Helena Campbell here. I'm going to the church cemetery with a shovel... If anyone else is out there... I wouldn't mind the company." A momentary pause, "Everyone did awesome today. Let's all get ready to go home, shall we?"
Helena clicked off the PDA and without waiting for a response went back to the church, gathered all of her pictures off the walls and the floors, formed them into piles and when she had finished she grabbed a shovel from her closet, a present from a very friendly Doctor, and went out into the cemetery to help lay to rest the many good who had fallen in battle.
