Familiar voices could be heard over Takion's head. He recognized Saetan's immediately, and that was enough to convince him to continue feigning unconsciousness. The other night had been rushed; two lonely people grasping for companionship. For all Takion knew, Saetan might be inclined to just leave things as a one night stand. Takion hoped otherwise, but the way things had been since coming to Econtra, he knew it wasn't prudent to get his hopes up.

He knelt stiffly, ignoring the pointed glances Daemon was giving him as well as the pain in his bad leg. Black nailed fingers brushed lightly across Takion's brow, absently brushing a loose strand of hair out of his face as psychic tendrils probing his head for damage. Nothing permanent, then.
"I'm not a healer," He commented, sounding much calmer than he felt. "But it doesn't feel like there's any serious damage."

"Watch him," He asked Alema quietly, almost desperately before going after Daemon.
Catching up with him after a few steps, he placed a hand on his shoulder to stop him. "Don't do this now, Namesake." He said quietly, adding, "Too many people here need you; Warlord Princes protect and serve. We have to put that before our feelings sometimes. Both of us. We can talk about this later, when things have settled down."

Another hand rested itself on Takion's head, and the pain began to lessen a fraction. Takion risked cracking open his eyes to see his benefactor. He mouthed a "thank you" to the beautifully blue Alema.

Especially since if anyone understood the misery of loss, it was Saetan. While Daemon had lost most of the family he had here, hadn't Saetan lost so much more? It wouldn't be fair to Saetan if Daemon tore his relationship with Takion apart. ...Now. He would talk to Saetan and Takion later, when everything calmed down. He couldn't help but remember when Saetan had plopped Li and himself down to talk about their relationship ( ... )

It was that last which Takion decided to concentrate on for the moment. He smiled wanly up at Saetan, but his expression quickly sobered. "Daemon isn't happy, is he?" Understatement. "Saetan... If it comes down to a choice, choose him. I don't want to be responsible for breaking apart a family."
