Daemon kept walking until he felt the strong hand of his father grip his shoulder and plant him in place. Looks like he wasn't going to scuttle out of this one that easily. He stayed quiet, letting his father speak. What was spoken made him feel even more bitter... If only because he knew Saetan was right.

Especially since if anyone understood the misery of loss, it was Saetan. While Daemon had lost most of the family he had here, hadn't Saetan lost so much more? It wouldn't be fair to Saetan if Daemon tore his relationship with Takion apart. ...Now. He would talk to Saetan and Takion later, when everything calmed down. He couldn't help but remember when Saetan had plopped Li and himself down to talk about their relationship.

Oh, how the tables had turned. He himself turned to be able to look at Saetan. A small smirk stretched across the side of his face.

"I'll go see if anyone outside needs my service. I know a bit more healing than you, so... " He reached his hand up to touch Saetan's face, slipping long, black nails down his cheek delicately. Daemon purred, leaning his face close enough to Saetan's that the older man could feel his warm breath. "We'll talk about your new relationship later."

He paused, losing the smirk quickly. "And the loss of my own." He gave his father a simple, yet heart throbbing kiss before pulling away. "I don't want either of you hurt. It's so easy for this place to... Just take away."

He was still frowning, even as he moved to slip away from his father. If he was lucky, maybe he would find the Warden on his exploration of the damage. He had many bones to pick with that man.

Saetan was not exactly surprised by the kiss, which he returned almost without thinking. Physical contact was just a part of who he was, and Daemon was the same way. This wasn't the first time this had happened, and he had never thought twice about it, no matter how strange others might find that.

"Yes, we need to talk," He agreed quietly, adding, "And I never got to tell you how sorry I am about Li." He meant it, too. No matter what he thought about Daemon and Jaenelle, he would never condemn any decisions his children made about their lives. "Don't worry about loss," He added softly. "I know how to deal with that very well." Cassandra, Tersa, even Hekatah in her own way. Mother Night, sometimes he even got the feeling, prompted by his Black Widow instincts, that he and Sylvia weren't going to work out. And then the children he had lost were just another long list. Who could blame him for wanting to try again, to just once make this work?

He sighed, watching Daemon stalk off before returning to Takion's side, golden eyes flooding with concern once more.

It seemed that there was so much happening all at once. With his head hurting like it was, Takion didn't want to keep track of it. Daemon had gone off. Alema had left. Saetan had returned to his side.

It was that last which Takion decided to concentrate on for the moment. He smiled wanly up at Saetan, but his expression quickly sobered. "Daemon isn't happy, is he?" Understatement. "Saetan... If it comes down to a choice, choose him. I don't want to be responsible for breaking apart a family."

Saetan smiled in relief as Takion's eyes fluttered open. "Mother Night, you had me worried." He murmured, hand returning to the side of the other man's face as though to reassure himself he was still there. He could feel the protective instincts that made Warlord Princes what they were flaring to life, along with relief.

"Daemon misses Li," He replied quietly. "Peyton - one of my other sons -did the same thing once when he lost someone he loved." The difference being that Peyton had walked out of his life and never come back, but he felt no need to mention that painful subject at the moment. "He's hurting, and he needs some time. Our family has survived worse storms." And had also been ripped apart in to many ways for him to count over the centuries. Everything had a price. "Besides, last time I checked, it was parents who were supposed to disapprove of their children's relationships, not the other way around." He added dryly.

Takion shut his eyes again and tilted his head into Saetan's touch. He may have been willing to play at being noble, but he didn't want to lose this sense of closeness.

"There are no certainties when it comes to family," Takion murmured. He looked on Daemon as family, and hated seeing him hurting. But Daemon had to deal with these losses himself and learn that life didn't go on hold while he grieved. Takion would be there for him as much as possible, but he didn't really want to give up what he'd only just found.

"No, there's not," Saetan agreed. "But in this case I'm willing to risk it." The only relationship he'd even been in that had truly torn his family apart had been his marriage to Hekatah, and it had been a deliberate action on her part. Whatever this new relationship with Takion was, it felt to completely different than that and the other destructive ones he'd been in over the centuries that he was willing to risk Daemon's anger for it.

Leaning down, he brushed a light kiss across the other's lips. "We'll worry about this later." He informed him simply.

And despite the throbbing in his head, Takion found himself smiling again. He didn't really know why. Surely one night with Saetan wasn't really enough to turn him to mush.

"Later, then," Takion agreed. "There's going to be so much rebuilding to do." And not just on Econtra itself. With so many loved ones who had been taken away, people were going to have to learn to put their lives back together as well. It wasn't just limited to Daemon.

Saetan returned the smile. He still wasn't quite sure just what this relationship was, but at the moment he was happy not to worry about it.

"Starting with your head," He muttered dryly. "You need to get some rest."

"I'll be fine," Takion assured Saetan. "Though Lady Alema did say that you were to take care of me for the next few days. Doctor's orders and all."

Saetan laughed quietly. "Mother Night, are we that obvious?" He asked, sounding more amused than anything else. "Well, far be it from me to disobey a doctor. Once things quiet down I'll get you back to your room and you can heal." If the dorms weren't all destroyed, of course. His own building, Ci, looked nearly gone.

"Mui was still holding up when I came here," Takion murmured. Of course, whether the building had lasted the whole storm or not remained to be seen. He hoped when he went back, he would have a room to go back to. "Oh, my books," Takion groaned in realization. "If Mui is blown to smithereens, I'll have lost them all!"

"Well, the storm seems to be dying down," Saetan observed, glancing around. "Would you like to go back and attempt a rescue attempt?" Personally, he would also welcome the chance to get Takion someplace besides the floor of the Arena where he could recover.

"I would," Takion answered. He sat up slowly, clutching his head as the movement sent pain lancing through it. Whatever Alema had done had helped a little, but he was definitely not well yet.

However, Takion was determined to get to his feet on his own. Knowing that Saetan had a bad leg, Takion didn't want to lean on him and give him extra weight to carry.

Saetan sprang forward instantly, concern stamped across his face and wrapped an arm around Takion's shoulders before he could fall. It took only the smallest extension of power to float him above the ground, close enough that to any observer it would look as though Takion were standing normally but also making it possible for Saetan to support and pull him along with almost no effort.

He was going to have to tell Takion just what he was at some point, he realized dully, but not now. So many people had turned away from him because of his power, and he didn't want to face the possibility that it might happen again, especially with someone he was beginning to care about so much.

Even with a mild concussion, Takion could recognize that something strange was going on. He did not, after all, make a habit of hovering. He had no doubt that he could perform such a trick in a Wonderland Space where he could decide what laws of reality applied. But this was no Wonderland Space.

Casting a curious glance at Saetan, Takion said nothing. If the older man wished to provide a bit of magical assistance, Takion had no complaints. "Thank you," he said softly.

(Ooc: Sure!)
