 Ahhh.  That was good.

Let's see, JadeCon '08.

*  Smaller than usual -- maybe 45 people, rather than 60 -- which was badbad (friends missing...) but also good (suite never got overcrowded or overheated).  Would be interesting to get the square footage of the suite & divide through to figure out how many square feet per person provided that effect.

*  The Hyatt redecorated its ground floor -- and eliminated the coffee shop!  Scum.

Project Runway for 12" Vinyl Men was great fun but confirmed that we can get a little obsessive & detail-oriented in our ludicrousness.  Who knew?  I'm proud of this photo, which nicely summarizes what I mean.

Duct tape!!!

Team We're Keeping Our Day Jobs was me, nanluz, and She-Without-Whom-We-Would-Have-Been-Hosed hlynn.  (Our output, for those keeping score at home:  challenge #1: pimp YOW (with zebra fur hat), challenge #2: YOW as duct tape floral delivery Viking god or whatever, challenge #3: YOW on Mustafar with furry fire-resistant mitts & mukluks made of disemboweled fleece duckies).

*  You might have thought that the DarkSiders had used up their supply of silly picnic-game ideas at '04's Galactic Games.  Apparently not.  Relay races dressed as flaming Wookiees!  And, of course, pinatas!  (Will we never learn?)

Me, I think the pinata was just an excuse for PG to fob off leftover buttons and candy Vader heads on everybody else.

*  Best addition to the supply of Jade games:  telephone pictionary, low-tech and unbelievably hilarious.  Probably the hardest I laughed all con.  I wish I'd taken pictures of some of the sheets proving that, as a group (meaning, leaving out hlynn), the only thing we can recognizably draw is "Help me, Obi-Wan Kenobi, you're my only hope."  Heavens knows we cannot draw "Aren't you a little short for a stormtrooper?"  (which, down the line, got drawn in such a way that it was interpreted as "Trina is 2 inches shorter than an Ewok with a spear").  Or "I hate sand."

*  Jedijeffp is the Rodian with the worst aim ever.  Honestly, our d20 SW RPG proved that it wouldn't have mattered whether Han Shot First.

Okay, I'm sure I'll post more, and put my pictures somewhere -- where's best, Flickr?? -- but I must return to the Real World.  How unfortunate for it.
