ah, nuts
so they recently did an open enrollment for benefits at work. one of the options was a fairly decent health insurance package. not super, but not bad either. and only $65 or so per month. i could live with that. so i popped on-line and did the web based opt in...except it never gave me an option for the health insurance. the 401K? sure. the pre-paid MasterCard for public transportation? yup. health insurance? nope. after a few phone calls, it finally turns out that Washington state is excluded from the health insurance package. how much does that suck?
