the weather has been beautiful...not that i get to be outside enjoying it. work and all that. i gave my last true lecture for my computer class. next Tuesday, i'm going to do a review for the final. so i really need to get familiar with what's on the final this weekend even if i don't completely finish writing it. and i've never written a review before, so i'm actually kinda nervous about that. i don't want to leave anything important off, but i don't want to give everything away either. oh well. i'm just being nice to the students. i don't have to write a review for them. Thursday will be easy, though; i'll just let them ask questions. and then i'll be done with the actual teaching portion of this class. yay! i'll miss the paycheck, but i will not miss the hassle. on April 11th, i'm flying to Berkeley, CA for another conference. that'll be cool. i'm going on the winery / wetlands tour, and i'm not actually presenting. all i have to do is stay awake. *l* then i'll have a week before the final exam actually happens. of course, that's going to be painful. two hours of near complete boredom...at 9 o'clock in the morning. euw. (yes, i know that that's not early for most people, but we all know i'm not most people.)
so this weekend is gonna be me working on writing that final exam review and once again trying to clean my apartment. well, i'm also invited to a house warming party at Marc's place. and i'll probably get started on stuff for my garden. clean out the old dead plants from last year. check my pots, martial my supplies, etc. i may also start the search for a shelf / bench / whatnot to raise some of the plants up off the ground. and a little patio table. i want a little patio table.
this morning was a little odd. first, i dreamed that it snowed. i was sooooo happy when i woke up and saw the nice, sunniness outside. second, my mail carrier woke me up before my alarm. of course, that ended up a happy thing. he woke me up so that he could give me the box with my new, pretty books from The Folio Society. i now have proper editions of Treasure Island, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, and The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. I also got a lovely two book box set (well, all the books have boxes...this set just has two books in the box) of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass. i haven't read either of them in entirety, so i'm really excited about them.
anyway, i should try and get some work done before J and i go and hang out for the night.
